DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Schools are shutting down for the remainder of the school year, but educators say drivers and students still need to be careful.
Summer school is ready to begin for most districts and buses will still be on the roads.
Dayton Public Schools will have 21 programs running in about 12 of its schools and some off site with 1,500 to 1,700 students enrolled and 40 buses getting them to their destinations..
Drivers should be vigilant. Kids will be walking to rec centers to meet friends. The same driving rules apply in the summer for school bus safety.
