Charges filed for fatal crash during pursuit

WEST CHESTER, Ohio (WDTN) – A West Chester man is now charged in connection to a fatal crash.

Terrence Strader, 32, faces multiple charges, including aggravated vehicular homicide.

“Because of the complexities and seriousness of the case the time was taken to complete a thorough investigation and consideration of the charges to be filed,” said Acting Chief of Police David Kelly. “The case will now be turned over to the county prosecutor.”

Police say the crash happened while Strader was fleeing police at State Route 747 and Port Union Road May 29.

Troy Stapleton, of Fairfield, was killed.

Strader turned himself in to police Thursday morning. He is being held in jail until his arraignment on Friday.
