Child shot with pellet gun flown to hospital

ANSONIA, Ohio (WDTN) – A child was flown to the hospital Thursday night after getting shot by a pellet gun.

The Careflight helicopter was sent to scene around 8:15 p.m. to the 600 block of Canal Street in Ansonia.

Dispatchers say the 4-year-old was accidentally shot, but are still investigating the circumstances.

No word on the child’s condition.
