MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) — A mobile food pantry is doing its part to make sure Miami Valley residents don’t go hungry.

Bogg Ministries, a local non-profit, goes into communities weekly and distributes a week’s worth of groceries followed by a community cookout at no charge.

Saturday morning, the mobile food pantry handed out groceries at 6th and Pearl Streets in Miamisburg. A cookout followed the distribution along with games and prizes for families.

Eight locations are hosted each month across the Dayton region and more than 1,500 people are fed during the month by the program. In 2013, the program fed 250,000 Dayton residents.
