HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) — A motorcyclist and car collide after deputies say the motorcycle rider attempted to pass the car.

The crash happened at the corner of Markey Road and Carson Avenue just before 7:30 p.m. Friday.

According to sheriff’s deputies, a purple Kawasaki motorcycle was headed north on Markey Road and went left of center to pass a tan Buick Sedan. The driver of the Buick had just started to make a left turn onto Carson Avenue when the motorcycle collided with the vehicle.

The people inside the Buick were not injured.

The motorcyclist was taken to Miami Valley Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating.
