BROOKVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) – A Brookville firefighter on leave was indicted Monday for inappropriate sexual conduct with a 16-year-old girl.

A Montgomery County grand jury indicted Joshua Rawlins, 25, on charges of sexual battery and sexual imposition.

Prosecutors say Rawlins had improper sexual relations with the girl including while on duty at the Brookville Fire Department.

A previous grand jury failed to indict back in March. Additional evidence and information came to light since that led to Monday’s indictment.

Rawlins is on administrative leave. He worked as a firefighter and EMT.

He is scheduled for arraignment June 24.
