Heavy rain moving through, grab the umbrella

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Heavy rainis moving through the Miami Valley tonight.

The rain may be heavy at times.

“Any outdoor plans you have this evening better have an umbrella involved,” said Storm Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brian Davis.  “The heaviest rain will fall mostly likely during the early evening hours.  I don’t expect anything severe, but you might hear some rumbles of thunder.”

Showers and thunderstorms will linger into Wednesday with higher humidity.

“A warm front will lift northward and that means we’ll feel the humidity rise a little more Wednesday with showers and thunderstorms possible,” says Storm Team 2 Meteorologist Tara Hastings.

There is a slight chance of a few showers and thunderstorms popping in the afternoon Thursday and Friday.

The weekend looks good with high pressure building into the area on Saturday, meaning lots of sunshine and highs near 80.
