The PNC Bank in the 5100 block of Brandt Pike was hit around 3 p.m.

Police say they tracked the suspect, 38-year-old Neil A. McNeil by a device that was hidden in the money. They tracked him to the Kroger parking lot just up the street from the bank.

Officers arrested McNeil without incident. Officers said he was in the parking lot to change clothes and try to elude officers.

A short time later, the Dayton Bomb Squad was called to the Kroger lot to check out a suspicious package of some sort. It has since cleared the scene without any further incident. Nothing suspicious was removed.

McNeil is being held in the Montgomery County Jail. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
