Police identify victims of PF Chang’s shooting

MIAMI TWP., Ohio (WDTN) – Two people were shot in the parking lot of the PF Chang’s Restaurant in Miami Township Wednesday night.

Investigators say a red pickup truck pulled into the lot at 8:12 p.m. and opened fire, striking the two victims. The truck then quickly sped off.

One victim was inside a car, the other was just outside of it.

Both were removed to the hospital where Jermaine D. Boone, 41, of Los Angeles, died. The other man, Damon Thompson, 46, of Atlanta, Georgia, was treated and released from the hospital.

Police do not know whether the victims knew the suspects, but they are actively searching for two men who left the scene in a 1994 red Dodge Ram 1500 series truck. That vehicle was found unoccupied in Miami Township.

Customers at the restaurant were kept inside for much of the evening, but were slowly being allowed to leave around 10 p.m.
