HAMILTON, Ohio (WDTN) – An early morning call to the Hamilton Police Department dispatched a crew to the 300 block of Hampshire Drive.  Just after 4:00 a.m., some residents of an apartment complex said terror woke them. Police were called on a report of a fight.

When they got there, they found Antonio Heath, 24, of West Chester, stabbed to death.”It sounded like a scary movie scream,” exclaimed Amanda Goff.

Goff and her roommate live in the same complex.

She said they heard the screams overnight, but didn’t know what to make of them.

“Like at the top of the lungs, gargling, deep screaming. Scary screaming,” said Smith. Both women say because violence has gotten worse, they plan to move. So far, there is no identification on the body, neither is there a suspect.

Police say Heath was not a resident of the Hampshire Drive address.  They are investigating the stabbing as a case of self-defense.
