Dayton teacher takes a swing at becoming an All-Star teacher

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Dayton school teacher has a shot at becoming an All-Star.

Rachel Blanks teaches at Wogaman Elementary in Dayton.

She is a finalist representing the Cincinnati Reds in the Target Presents People All-Star Teachers campaign.

It celebrates teachers who make an impact on the lives of their students and in the community.

One winner from each major league team will take part in All-Star week activities and will be recognized during pre-game activities.

Blanks is joined by a Utah teacher and an Indiana teacher as finalists representing the Reds.

She also has shot at a feature in People Magazine.
