VANDALIA, Ohio (WDTN) – A Vandalia restaurant is stepping up to help the family of a woman killed in a freak accident at the Middletown Airport.

Sarah Rhoads, 24, was killed earlier this month when she walked into a spinning plane propeller.

She and her father were frequent customers at the Vandalia Waffle House.

The waitresses are now organizing a fundraiser to help.

25 percent of sales profits on Tuesday, June 17 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. will go toward a funeral fund.

The Vandalia Waffle House is located in the 300 block of East National Road.
