DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A strike was averted late Thursday night against Montgomery County.

Social workers for Children Services reached a late night tentative agreement Thursday night.

The Professional Guild met with the county all day in negotiations to reach a new deal.

They are not commenting further until the county commissioners vote on the deal.

The strike that was set for Monday is canceled and union members are being told to report to work on Monday.
