DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A new crackdown on traffic violations will begin Monday, June 16 in the Interstate 75 construction zone through downtown Dayton.
Police say the focus will be at times when traffic is the heaviest.
Officers will be on the lookout for speeders, illegal lane changes and following too close.
They say there will be zero tolerance of any traffic offense.
No warnings will be issued, only tickets.
The initiative is funded by a $50,000 Construction Zone High Visibility Enforcement grant from the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
This is the third year for the operation in Dayton.
It will run through September.
