DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The Bomb Squad was called out to a Dayton apartment complex Saturday afternoon.

Crews were originally called to the Kings Court apartments complex in the 3700 block of Kings Highway on reports of an abandoned vehicle.

When police arrived, they met with the complex manager who reported the vehicle had been behind the apartments for about ten days. Police ran the license plates and found that the vehicle wasn’t stolen, but it had expired tags.

While officers were investigating, the manager said he got a call on his phone that there was a bomb inside the vehicle.

The bomb squad arrived to the complex and searched the vehicle but didn’t find anything.

Police contacted the vehicle’s owners to retrieve the vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing.
