VANDALIA, Ohio (WDTN) – Talk about sticker shock!

Some drivers in Vandalia may have gotten a real fright overnight when they thought the price of has had skyrocketed above $6 a gallon. The sign at the Speedway at 830 E. National Road advertised a gallon of regular for $6.09. According to the sign, diesel was selling for the eerie price of $6.66 a gallon.

2 NEWS called the gas station overnight and learned a malfunction was to blame. The real price was $3.89 a gallon.

The sign was fixed around 5:45 Monday morning.
