Smash-and-grabbers grab ATM

HARRISON TOWNSHIP (WDTN) – Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies are investigating what they said was a smash-and-grab robbery at a gas station in Harrison Township at around 5:30 Monday morning.

That’s where a driver of a van slammed into the side of a BP station in the 3800 block of Salem Avenue, then took off with an ATM.

Deputies and police searched the area near Cornell Woods for nearly two hours before finding the abandoned van and the ATM.

No suspects have been found.
