Wind causes glider to land in field

Glider lands in Warren County

WAYNESVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) A glider pilot made an emergency landing in a field outside of Waynesville Tuesday night.

The glider landed in a backyard along Harlan Road and Township Line Road around 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed there were no injuries and no damage to the glider.

“There’s so much wind. It’s all getting sheared up every time you went into the wind, you went lower and lower. I had to pick a spot to land,” said pilot Kevin Anderson.

Anderson called it a “nice easy landing.” provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
