Neighbor spots fire in Jefferson Township home

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP (WDTN) – Fire broke out inside a Jefferson Township home Wednesday morning.

Investigators said a neighbor noticed flames and smoke shooting from a window in rear of house on Lawncrest Avenue around 6:30 and called for help.

Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading from the utility room where it started.

No one was home at the time.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
