ODOT truck, semi collide, 2 injured

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – An Ohio Department of Transportation vehicle was involved in an accident Thursday morning.

The accident happened at the intersection of state routes 4 and 54 southwest of Mechanicsburg in Champaign County.

A tractor-trailer was northbound on route 4 when the DOT truck, traveling on route 54, hit the side of the semi.

Two people in the DOT truck were taken to the hospital with injuries.

The driver of the semi was not injured.

The crash is still being investigated.
