DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Kettering police recovered a pickup truck believed to be connected to a series of recent robberies in Dayton.

Officers recovered a 1988 black Chevy Silverado with Ohio license plate FCR7011 on Spaulding Road late Monday morning.

Police say two men were using the truck to commit several robberies at Speedway stations, Sammy’s Food Mart and UDF stores around the city this past week.

Police say they strike early in the morning when there are few customers.

Investigators released surveillance video in hopes that someone might recognize the men.

They now believe these ‘ghost’ robbers are possibly responsible for two more overnight robberies in Centerville and Miamisburg.

Police are investigating and are not sure what vehicle the suspects are now using.
