DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Riverside man is now under arrest for an incident that sent the United Rehabilitation Services at 4710 Old Troy Pike into a lock down situation.
URS was put on lock down and the 50 employees told to stay put after reports of shots fired nearby.
Police say they it is still unclear whether shots were ever fired, but they arrested Eddie Gore for assault and disorderly conduct. They say he was involved in a fight with a maintenance worker at the Camillia Court Apartments just off Old Troy Pike when the shots fired call was made.
URS Executive Director Dennis Grant made the decision to go into lockdown after police made him aware of the situation just before 5:00 p.m. Monday.
Grant said he saw Riverside police take Gore into custody.
Gore is now in the Montgomery County Jail.
