Crashed car goes up in flames, driver escapes

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP (WDTN) – A driver escaped a crash Tuesday evening that destroyed her car.

The one car accident happened on southbound I-75 between Franklin and Middletown around 8:30.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers investigating said the driver crashed when the car hydro-planed and she lost control.

The woman was able to get out of the car uninjured before it caught fire and became fully engulfed in flames.

Two southbound lanes were closed for about an hour.
