DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Dayton man weed whacking in his backyard was targeted by thieves.

Police reports say the victim called for help after two suspects robbed him at gunpoint at his home on Malvern Avenue Tuesday. The man told officers the two men took his wallet and ran off, but not before hitting him in the face.

The report goes on to say that the man’s wife came home to see what was happening and followed the suspects. She said they pointed a gun at her, so she backed off.

Police later caught up with Malik Robinson, 18. He is in the Montgomery County Jail on charges of aggravated robbery and felonious assault.

The second suspect is still on the loose, but police say they know who they are looking for.

Turns out the gun the suspects reportedly had with them was stolen about two weeks ago in Trotwood.
