KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – The Kettering School Board of Education is beginning its search for a new superintendent.

It is getting assistance from the Montgomery County Educational Resource Center. THe ESC helped the district name former Vandalia-Butler superintendent Christy Donnelly as the interim.

Dr. Jim Schoenlein resigned after the board investigated a strained relationship with treasurer Steve Clark.

Both were put on administrative leave in May for what the board called a hostile work environment.

The fate of Clark will be addressed at a special school board meeting scheduled for Monday, June 30, 2014.

Application information is posted on the district’s web site.
