DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The University of Dayton’s appearance in the NCCA basketball tournament was worth big bucks to the city of Dayton.

According to a study by the city, the Flyers run that ultimately ended with a spot in the Elite 8 was worth $72.66 million for the Gem City.

Hilary Browning, the legislative aide with the city who presented the report to city counsel Wednesday, said that included 2,871 mentions on TV.
