Playhouses built for journey of service

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — CareSource celebrated 25 years of advocacy and service Saturday by partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Dayton to build children’s playhouses.

CareSource and Habitat volunteers built and painted the 25 roofed houses in the University of Dayton parking lot Saturday morning.

Once completed, the playhouses will be placed in centers in Montgomery County and Greene County for school-aged children.

The $40,000 project is funded through a grant from the CareSource Foundation to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Dayton.

CareSource is a nonprofit health organization and one of the nation’s largest Managed Medicaid Plans. CareSource serves more than one million consumers in Ohio and Kentucky.
