PIQUA, Ohio (WDTN) — The Ohio State Highway Patrol will hold a checkpoint Saturday night looking for drunk drivers.

Troopers announced the checkpoint will be held on Russell Road in Sidney from 10 p.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday.

The OVI checkpoint is funded by federal grant funds and is designed to deter and intercept impair drivers.

Nearby saturation patrols will also be held to aggressively combat alcohol-related injuries and deadly crashes.

Troopers warn if you plan to drink, designate a driver or make other travel arrangements.
