JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) — A car crash into a house in Jefferson Township Sunday morning has a man and woman facing charges after deputies said they ran from the scene with their two kids.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor to the crash on Hacket Drive shortly after midnight Sunday.

Upon arrival, deputies determined an adult woman had ran away from the crash with a 5-year old girl, and an adult man had ran away with an 8-year old boy. This denied the children immediate medical aid, said Montgomery County deputies.

The woman and girl were found in an adjacent yard trying to hide. The man and boy were found at their home. Both kids were taken to the hospital for their injuries. The man was also taken to the hospital for treatment.

The woman was arrested for multiple offenses. Deputies said the man is a suspect in multiple criminal and traffic offenses.
