VANDALIA, Ohio (WDTN) – Vectren Dayton Air Show organizers say big crowds turned out for this year’s air show.

They estimate attendance for the weekend at 65,000.

“We can’t be more pleased with the outcome of this year’s show,” stated Michael Emoff, chairman of the board of trustees of the United States Air & Trade Show, the nonprofit organization that produces the show. “We would like to thank the spectators, sponsors and volunteers who helped make the show a tremendous success.”

Organizers credit the U.S. Navy Blue Angels for bringing the crowds in to watch.

Plans are already in the works for next year’s show, tentatively scheduled for June 20 and 21, 2015. Final dates will be announced once military jet team schedules are approved in December. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
