KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. More than 3.5 million cases are diagnosed annually.

The Skin Cancer Foundation wants to do something about it. Its Road to a Healthy Skin Tour makes a stop in Kettering Tuesday.

It offers free full body skin cancer screenings. Participants are examined in one of two examining rooms inside a private RV.

Local dermatologist Dawn Greenwald, MD, donated her services to the event.

It will be held at the Rite Aid at 1320 East Stroop Road in Kettering from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

The RV is traveling through 17 states to make 53 stops through August 30. More than 18,000 people have been screened.
