Downtown Xenia named historic district

XENIA, Ohio (WDTN) – Downtown Xenia is now officially a historic district.

The Ohio State Historical Board approved the designation that was a year in the making.

The designation gives downtown business owners the opportunity to apply for state and federal tax incentives to rehabilitate downtown properties.

The historic district includes 60 downtown buildings, three of which are listed on the National Historic Register. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
