DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The City of Dayton is preparing for its fireworks display Thursday night.
Crews were setting up the pyrotechnics along the river’s edge in Dayton Wednesday afternoon.
The Lights in Flight display promises to be a high flying act.
It will run about 20 minutes and include 6,500 shells.
Organizers say the fireworks are designed to go higher, so there should be good viewing from any hill, park or building downtown.
They say if you can see the downtown buildings from where you live, you should be able to see the show.
The fireworks are set to go off Thursday, July 3 at 10:00 p.m. at RiverScape Metropark.
