Two meth labs discovered on same block

FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN)– The Greene County drug task force spent hours busting one meth lab, and waiting on a search warrant that would lead them to another.

Officials showed up in the 1000 block of Lexington Avenue around 12:30 Wednesday afternoon.

Ashley Fields, a woman who lives nearby, saw men in Hazmat suits outside the apartment complex.

“It does make me nervous, because I have a five month old son, and if it was a meth lab, and that was to blow up, you know — who knows what could happen.”

Once officials pulled all of the combustible materials out of the apartment complex, they obtained a search warrant for the house at 1036 Lexington Avenue.

Police arrested John Gallagher, the owner of the home– according to the search warrant, for a probation violation.

Several dogs were inside the home. A woman came and took some of them away in her car.

Crews left the scene around 7 p.m.

More arrests could come later.
