DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A woman is arrested after she’s involved in a crash and police find she’s carrying possible drugs.

Jamie Simon, 24, was arrested on charges of felony vandalism, possession of drugs, and OVI.

Police were dispatched to the intersection of Germantown Street and Liscum Road on reports of an injury crash around 2 a.m. Friday.

According to the police report, Simon got into an accident with another driver. When Simon was being escorted to a medic, some gel caps containing suspected heroin fell from her clothing to the ground.

Police searched Simon and then placed her into handcuffs before putting her in the back of a cruiser. They said during this time, she became belligerent and kicked out the window of the cruiser.

Another officer arrived on scene and police transported Simon to another cruiser.

Officers said she continued to kick and bang her head while en route to the jail. Simon was eventually escorted into jail and had to be pepper sprayed and placed into the emergency restraint chair.

Police also found additional gel caps inside Simon’s vehicle.

The passenger in Simon’s car was also arrested for outstanding warrants.
