A possible road rage crash in Dayton turns deadly


DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -  One of the two pregnant women involved in an accident being investigated as the result of a road-rage accident has lost her baby.

Montgomery County Coroner Ken Betz said the baby of Mariah Dorsey, 22, was pronounced dead Tuesday at Miami Valley Hospital.

The coroner’s office will be conducting an examination Wednesday to determine whether the baby died due to injury from the accident.

Four women were involved in the crash Sunday on West Grand and Forest avenues.

Police said one of the women told officers that someone smashed her car with a tire iron, then chased her car through city streets before she crashed into a pickup truck that then hit another.

.One victim of the crash remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Sgt. Aaron Fraley with the Dayton Police Department told 2 NEWS investigators will be talking to the prosecutor’s office on how to pursue the case further.

Investigators have identified one suspect in the case and are trying to determine how that person was connected to the blue Mercury witnesses said fled the scene of the accident.

No arrest have been made in the investigation.
