TIPP CITY, Ohio (WDTN) – Ohio Governor John Kasich urged small business owners to hire military veterans, to have patience with employees with substance abuse problems, offered his thoughts on medical marijuana laws in Ohio and projected the impact of choosing Cleveland as the site of the 2016 Republican National Convention.
The governor was the guest of Repacorp, Inc., a company in Tipp City that manufactures labeling products and digital and screen printing.
After a tour of the plant and conversations with some of its employees, Governor Kasich moderated a forum with three small business owners on a panel in front of an audience of several dozen other business owners.
He was obviously excited at the news that Ohio is selected to host the RNC – adding the spotlight is already on the Buckeye State because of so many recent job creations. Now, he says the RNC choice is a great crescendo to anything else that happens.
He said he had plans over the next two years so that everyone will know the Cleveland selection is a premium choice.
