Racing legend to visit Beavercreek auto store

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) – A car racing legend is making a pit stop in Beavercreek.

Mario Andretti will greet fans at the Murphy’s Autocare today from 10:00 a.m. until Noon. The address is 3815 Dayton-Xenia Road.

Andretti is in town to represent the Firestone brand.

He will be signing autographs and the auto store will have games and giveaways.

“We are very excited and honored to have Firestone spokesman Mario Andretti visit our store here in Beavercreek,” said Dave Murphy, Murphy’s Autocare. “We are proud to be a trusted source to our valued customers for all their automotive service needs including world class Firestone Tires.”

Andretti was a longtime test driver for Firestone. He helped develop the racing tire that led to his success, including victories at the Indianapolis 5000 and Daytona 500, three Champ Car National Championships and the F1 World Championship.
