SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – The Clark County Sheriff says a serial robber is making his way along the I-70 corridor.

Sheriff Gene Kelley told 2 NEWS the suspect walks into gas station and convenience stores talking on his cell phone, then asks the clerk for something behind the counter. When the clerk turns back around, they find a handgun pointed at them.

Kelley said he recently robbed the Speedway on SR 235 in New Carlisle.

The suspect wears the same blue zip-up hoodie with white draw strings in all of the surveillance photos. More than one victim has mentioned the large gold ring on his right hand.

“He targets convenient stores where there are families, and where cops are getting coffee in the middle of the night,” Kelley said. “So we could have a violent confrontation. This individual, we’re hoping somebody recognizes him.”

If you know this man, or see him in any gas station, you should call 911 immediately. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
