Shooting victim drives himself to safety

HARRISON TWP., Ohio (WDTN) – A shooting victim is recovering from a shot to the shoulder.

Montgomery County deputies were called to the Sunoco station at 3900 Salem Avenue just after midnight.

They found the victim sitting in the parking lot when they arrived.

The victim told deputies he was shot by a man in a mask nearby at the Luxury Motors and then drove to the gas station to get away.

The victim was taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment. Officers describe the injury as non-life threatening.

Deputies are investigating.
