Construction to stop parade in its tracks

Englewood seeing drop in violent crimes

ENGLEWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) – Construction caused the cancellation of a yearly tradition for an Englewood festival.

The parade portion of the Fine Arts Festival next month will not happen.

Construction on the Union Road Bridge over I-70 is the reason why.

The city says construction was supposed to start at the beginning of this month, but bad weather pushed it back to the end of the month which will disrupt the parade route.

The 5K run and art displays will go on as planned.

The festival is scheduled for August 9 and 10.
