Police say 2 women swiped a bag full of money

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – Kettering police are investigating a theft involving a stolen shopping bag of cash.

Police are looking for two women caught on surveillance at the BP station at Wilmington Pike and South Smithville Road on Tuesday.

Investigators say one of the women spotted the bag left on a counter. They say she saw that it was money inside and showed it to her friend. Police say one of the women put the bag in her purse and they left the station.

Police describe the first woman as being in her 30s with blonde hair. She was wearing a light colored top, jeans and a black headband with sunglasses on her head at the time.

The second woman is described as middle aged with blonde hair. She too was wearing a light colored top and jeans, but also had sandals on and carried a tan purse.

They left the store in a silver Ford F-150 extended cab pickup truck.
