CELINA, Ohio (WDTN) – Two Mercer County women are under arrest for heroin possession.

Sheriff’s deputies received a tip that the women were transporting the drug from the Dayton area to Celina.

Skye Daniels, 33, of Coldwater, and Cassandra Springer, 19, of Celina were stopped by deputies Wednesday after they pulled their car into a gas station on South Main Street.

Deputies say they recovered two capsules of suspected heroin and a used syringe from Daniels. They say they confiscated six capsules from Springer.

A third person in the car was released.

The case is now in the hands of prosecutors who will decide about charges.
