Jet skier hits cement wall, flown to hospital

PIQUA, Ohio (WDTN)– A man is flown to the hospital after crashing his jet ski into a cement wall.

Firefighters and police officers were called to an area of the Great Miami River just after 7:00 Saturday night.

They responded to reports of a jet skier who was injured after hitting a cement wall while riding in the river, near Garnsey Street.

Rescue teams entered the water to pull the victim to safety.

Crews rushed the man to Upper Valley Medical Center, where he was transferred by Careflight to a different hospital.
