Man arrested for multiple food stamp cards

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Police arrest a man after they find he’s carrying food stamp cards from several people.

Darnell Hunter, 36, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.

Police initially stopped Hunter for a traffic violation Thursday afternoon in the area of Burkhardt Avenue and South Hedges Street.

When officers searched their record system, they found that Hunter’s driving privileges were currently suspended and he had been stopped for driving under suspension in the same vehicle.

Before police towed his vehicle, they found a wallet containing Ohio direction cards of four people.

Officers placed Hunter under arrest for possession, trafficking, and illegal use of food stamp cards. He told police all of the people whose cards he had lives with him and he does all of the shopping.
