Man drove himself to hospital after shooting

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are trying to determine what led to a reported shooting.

Police arrived at Good Samaritan Hospital after 2:30 a.m. Saturday and met with the victim, 25-year-old Deyon Porter.

He told police the incident happened in the Dayton View neighborhood. He said he was getting in his car when the suspect started shooting at him.

Officers said he was driving a gray 2000 Oldsmobile Alero when he was shot twice. Porter drove himself to Good Samaritan.

Police said the vehicle was riddled with several bullet holes in the driver’s side door. They also reported the back window was shattered.

After arriving at Good Sam, Porter was then transported to Miami Valley Hospital.

Officers said the victim was uncooperative and not forthcoming with information.

No arrests have been made. Police are still investigating.
