DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are investigating after someone stole metal from a construction company.

Officers were called to the 1500 block of Speice Avenue Friday where SMCI was doing some work.

An employee reported that someone had taken items from their construction company overnight. He told police several steel bars and metal lids on five gallon cans were missing.

The worker told police they had a metal theft a couple weeks ago and the company had already been in contact with detectives.

Police are still investigating.
