Lawn mower ruptured Huber Heights gas line

HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) – A gas leak in Huber Heights shut down a busy street Wednesday morning.

Fire crews were called to Old Troy Pike and Shull Road around 9:30 a.m.

Investigators say a man mowing the lawn hit a gas line and ruptured it.  He immediately called 911.

The fire department evacuated a couple of nearby businesses and homes until the leak was shut off.

No one was hurt.

The road and businesses were back in business after about an hour.
