Homicide suspect released from jail

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – 2 NEWS has confirmed that the man arrested in connection to a homicide has been released.

Police confirm that Taberee Shabazz Thompson is out of jail. Charges must be filed within 48 hours of arrest. They were not in this case, but police say the investigation into the death of Sheila Gibson, 45, continues.  Prosecutors say more toxicology test results are needed to proceed.

Gibson’s body was found inside a home on East Fourth Street Sunday night.

Concerned neighbors called police after they did not see her for several days.

The coroner ruled her death a homicide.
