DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – There is new information on the RTA bus driver whose claim of being shot and stabbed on the job was discounted by a Dayton police investigation.

Since then, Rick Wagoner has been fired by the public transit company and today the first legal step was taken to retrieve his job.

Wagoner’s was one of four grievances heard by RTA and the bus drivers’ union.

The two sides met Thursday afternoon at the RTA Cultural Center on Edwin C. Moses Boulevard in Dayton.

Wagoner’s grievance hearing has been continued.
